What is the difference between RGBW and RGBCW( or RGB+CCT)

The main difference between RGBW and RGBCW (or RGB+CCT) is the color options and control flexibility:

• RGBW (Red, Green, Blue, White): This type adds a dedicated white LED (W) to the standard RGB (Red, Green, Blue) color model. The white LED allows for a more accurate white light, improving color mixing and providing a better option for pure white lighting.
• RGBCW (Red, Green, Blue, Cold White, Warm White): This system adds both a cold white (CW) and a warm white (WW) LED, allowing for adjustable white light, often referred to as CCT (Correlated Color Temperature) control. It provides a broader range of white tones, from warm to cool, making it more versatile for creating various lighting moods and temperatures.

In short, RGBW offers RGB plus a single white light, while RGBCW provides a wider range of white tones by including both warm and cool white LEDs.
